Living a life of purpose
I recently had a delightful conversation with an elderly woman and I couldn't help but notice as she recounted the events of the past years how bright-eyed and full they were. Just listening to her made me smile because she was given the gift of life and she lived. I want to live. I want to live a life of substance, one of purpose and happiness. We sometimes get so caught up with everything that is going on around us that we forget the fact that our life is a gift one whereby we're unaware of when or even how it can be taken away, and sometimes it can be all within a flash. This is something that I have to constantly remind myself of because sometimes I overthink even the smallest things.
I want to travel the world; experience various cultures, sceneries, and lifestyles. I want to experience all of the best that life has to offer; count stars, go on road trips and unplanned adventures, sit on the beach in silence with my favourite people just enjoying God's creation and so much more...
"Life's too short" is a constant saying that everyone knows at heart. It's too short to not live or love, chase your passions and dreams. Fear, anxiety, depression etc can sometimes cheat you out of having these experiences but I say, no longer will we give them the power over us. No longer will we let excuses get the best of us. It is challenging to release oneself from the mental labyrinth but it's so much more rewarding to unleash yourself from that loop.
Live out loud, Love out loud experience life to its fullest extent. Don't get me wrong, a bit of luxury is always nice to indulge in, however, it doesn't always have to be fancy. The little things do matter. No one wants to live a life filled with regrets and "I should have". Is that even living? Remember to forget the insignificant things that may come to steal your happiness, try to see life through a lens that holds positivity and "good vibes". So my friends, live a full life; one filled with adventure and purpose so that when that day comes it'll be accepted without regrets.
