Self Love

Let's take a moment to talk about Self love. In our ever so modern and fast-paced world, society paints an image as to how we should live and look. You should be slim, but not too skinny. You must be tall and never short. You should have well-defined cheekbones and skin that is as flawless as can be. Us humans always strive for perfection, but does a perfect person exist? My friend, the answer to that is no. Humans are phenomenal, complex beings despite their colour, shape, size and sexual orientation. So society this is us taking a stand to say no thank you to your ridiculous body standards.

I believe that love for oneself is one of the greatest types of love that exist upon the face of this Earth. We are all fearfully and wonderfully made from greatness to be great. Imagine a world where we all looked the same, that would be a boring world.

Embrace your unique and amazing personality. Embrace the skin you were blessed with. Love each and every part of you even if it doesn't look the same as everyone else's. No, you don't have to fit in! Love YOU for YOU. BE YOU. Allow yourself to heal and forgive yourself for thinking that you are not worth it because you are.

There's only one you on this Earth and that's because you are and were created, you were meant to bring something amazing into this world. Be the best version of yourself. Do not allow what society labels as "beautiful", "sexy", "pretty", "masculine" or "lady-like" to define the person you are.

Take a leap over those barriers. Kick them down. Smash them to bits. Don't give them the power to limit you from achieving your true potential. Let's aspire to live a life full of love and appreciation for who we are and practice celebrating Self Love all day; every day.
